Sri Ram is the warrior hero of the Indian epic , "Ramayana".
He is also deeply revered as a God by Hindus all over the world.
The legend says that he fought the demon lord Ravan with the help of an army of vanars(monkeys) to rescue his wife Sita.

I've been on this piece for a really long time and finally found the time to finish it. Was kinda bummed to notice that my monitor at home wasnt calibrated right, the contrast seems to have got messed up., so I'm hoping this looks ok to everyone.
Base modeled in maya, detailed in zbrush, rendered in max/vray with color correction in photoshop.

This was made as part of the merman modeling challenge on cgtantra. I couldnt quite finish it for the challenge so decided to make an illustration of it.
This guy is designed to be the lead of an elite task force of similar mermen of an otherwise all mermaid race. They are entrusted with the protection of the queen mermaid and are called in to fight only as a last line of defense. They were results of long experimentation with various sea life and humans to build a perfect weapon. they're bodies are grafted with that of a shark with electrocuting tentacles that emerge out of the rib cage area. The jewels on the chest signify rank. They are a killing force efficient enuf to fight without armour or weapons.
This is also my first full character in zbrush.

U can also catch this on the cover of this month's Animation Today magazine.
Base model in maya, sculpted posed and textured in Z Brush. Comped with screen shots in photoshop.

Been a Year and a Half in the making during free time at work. This started off purely as an exercise to learn anatomy but decided to push this further over time. Hey guys..well...havent posted in here in a while cos i havent had time to work on any personals...
but heres a little somethin i had time to work on during my free time at work..
this is painted from scratch in GIMP..with colour corrections in photoshop....
and it "might" have some perspective issues...cos i started this as a training exercise to try my tablet...and ended up detailing it!!

Heres a rework of a piece i did in 2003.The concept was from a bombay dyeing ad(or one of those cloth companies,dont remember now).I just tweaked the model a bit and completely reworked the textures and shaders.(although i havent tried any sss shaders,some other time perhaps).Did this over a day.Hope u guys like it.
